Welcome to my corner of the internet – I’m glad you’re here!
Hi, I’m Chrissy Ford — a cybersecurity professional passionate about strengthening both the technical and human sides of security.
What started as a determined transition into tech has grown into a career rooted in continuous learning and hands-on security work. Currently, I work for an MSP helping SMB clients improve their human risk by managing their security awareness training and deploying tailored simulated phishing exercises.
I’ve completed multiple SANS certifications — GFACT, GSEC, and GCIH — which have strengthened my foundation in security fundamentals, incident handling, and practical defensive operations. The rigor of SANS training sharpened not only my technical skillset, but also my analytical mindset and ability to approach security challenges with depth and structure. I was also honored to be invited to serve as a GIAC Advisory Board Member.
One of the most meaningful moments in my journey was being invited by TryHackMe to travel to Italy to speak about my path into cybersecurity. Sharing my story internationally — from career transition to becoming established in the field — was a reminder of how powerful community, persistence, and practical learning can be.
When I am not working, I enjoy a variety of hobbies that bring a sense of balance to my life. Cooking and photography allow me to explore creativity with a variety of foods and through the lens. Camping and traveling are my gateways to adventure and new experiences, while reading keeps me immersed in worlds of knowledge and imagination!
I hope this introduction has provided you with a better understanding of who I am. I encourage you to return to this site to stay updated on my ongoing projects and achievements.
